Sugar cookie success

After totally buggering up my Valentine's sugar cookies on Sunday night, I had success yesterday afternoon while my little one was napping. The trick was indeed to roll the dough into balls and let them melt into circles with the heat of the oven (if you missed my previous post, I had tried rolling out the dough and cutting heart shapes, which turned to blobs when cooked). I topped them with a dollop of pink icing and a cinnamon heart. Today I threw the remaining cookies out because I was eating them at an out of control rate!
